Description
The THVD1450DR is TI’s half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver in SOIC-8 (D), running from a 3.3 V supply (the THVD14xx family spans 3.3 V to 5 V) at data rates up to 20 Mbps. Bus pins carry robust IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection, and the receiver includes failsafe inputs for open, shorted and idle bus conditions. It suits factory automation, motor control, grid infrastructure and building automation links where long cables and noisy environments are normal.
