Description
The TPS54331DR is TI’s 3 A, 28 V input step-down DC-DC converter in SOIC-8 (D), with an integrated 80 mOhm high-side MOSFET. Input range is 3.5 V to 28 V and output is adjustable down to 0.8 V, with a fixed 570 kHz switching frequency. Pulse-skipping Eco-mode keeps efficiency high at light loads while cycle-by-cycle current limit, overvoltage transient protection and thermal shutdown protect the converter. Adjustable slow start and programmable UVLO threshold simplify sequencing in 12 V and 24 V industrial rails, LED drivers and consumer power stages. Specified over -40 C to +125 C.
