Description
The ABB CLMD13/10 400-50 is a low-voltage power capacitor unit from the CLMD range, rated 10 kvar at 400 V 50 Hz in three-phase delta connection. CLMD units use a dry metallised polypropylene dielectric with self-healing behaviour, and every element is surrounded by vermiculite so that energy from a failed element is absorbed and any arc is extinguished. A permanently connected discharge resistor brings the terminal voltage below 50 V within one minute of disconnection, and losses stay below 0.2 W/kvar without the resistors (0.5 W/kvar total). The CLMD13 frame is the compact 210 x 167 x 117 mm body with three M6 terminals, typically used for machine-level compensation, small capacitor panels and single-step retrofits. IP42, IEC 60831-1/-2.
